This Privacy Policy describes how Therapy Bee Inc. ("Therapy Bee," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with our website at therapybee.ca and our psychotherapy practice. It is intended to help you understand what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights under applicable law.
This policy covers three distinct contexts:
- Website information — information collected through therapybee.ca, including through the contact form, analytics, and third-party services embedded in or linked from the site.
- Booking and practice management information — information entered into Jane, the platform Therapy Bee uses for online booking and practice management.
- Clinical records — personal health information and clinical records held in connection with psychotherapy services provided by Therapy Bee.
Information Collected Through This Website
Contact Form
The contact form on therapybee.ca collects your name, email address, optional phone number, and a brief message. This form is intended only for general enquiries and scheduling. Visitors are asked not to submit sensitive personal, medical, or mental health information through the form.
When you submit the form, your message is sent by email to Therapy Bee. The website itself does not store contact form submissions in its own database. Routine hosting and server infrastructure may retain technical request information, such as IP addresses, request timestamps, and response status codes, as part of standard server logging.
We cannot guarantee that a visitor will not include sensitive information in a message despite the notice on the form. If you do submit sensitive information, it will be handled with care, but we encourage you to contact us by phone or through your clinician directly for anything of a clinical or personal health nature.
Website Analytics
Therapy Bee uses optional website analytics to understand how visitors use this website. These analytics are provided through our website service provider, GoDaddy, and are loaded only if you select Accept on the cookie consent banner.
If you select Accept, analytics may collect session and pageview information, interaction and click information, page paths and referrer information, and device type and viewport information.
If you select Decline, optional analytics are not loaded. Your consent preference is stored locally in your browser and expires after approximately 365 days, after which the banner will reappear.
Therapy Bee does not currently use advertising pixels or behavioural advertising tracking on this website.
Google Fonts
Pages on this website load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). This means your browser makes a request to Google's servers as part of loading the page. Google may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser information as part of that request. This occurs on all pages regardless of your cookie consent choice.
Google Maps
The Contact page includes an embedded Google Maps map. When that page loads, your browser connects to Google's servers to display the map. Google may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser information, and Google Maps may use its own cookies or similar technologies. This occurs when you visit the Contact page regardless of your cookie consent choice.

This website is hosted through GoDaddy. As Therapy Bee's website hosting and infrastructure provider, GoDaddy may process standard technical information such as IP addresses, request paths, access timestamps and related server information as part of providing and securing the website.
Online Booking and Practice Management — Jane
Therapy Bee uses Jane (janeapp.com) for online booking and practice management. When you follow a booking link on therapybee.ca, you leave this website and interact directly with Jane's service at therapybee.janeapp.com.
Therapy Bee does not transfer contact form information or visitor session data to Jane before you follow a booking link. Once you are on Jane's platform, the information you enter — including your name, contact details, health history, and appointment information — is Patient Data entered for the services provided by Therapy Bee. The clinic or practitioner responsible for your care controls the Patient Data, as applicable. Jane acts as a service provider in relation to that Patient Data and processes it on behalf of the clinic or practitioner.
Jane may separately control account or authentication information (such as a Jane ID) in accordance with Jane's own privacy notice. For information about how Jane handles data, please refer to Jane's Privacy Notice at jane.app/legal/privacy-notice.

Personal health information and clinical records held in connection with psychotherapy services provided by Therapy Bee are governed by the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and other applicable Ontario privacy law. This includes information collected during intake, assessment, and treatment.
Formal clinical intake and clinical recordkeeping are maintained separately from the public website and are not intended to occur through the website contact form.
How We Use Information
Information collected through this website is used to: respond to enquiries and scheduling requests submitted through the contact form; understand how visitors use the website (analytics, with your consent); and maintain and improve the website.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use contact form submissions for marketing purposes.
